The UK Film Awards is a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and the incredible talent that drives independent cinema. Now in our second year, the festival continues to grow as a platform for filmmakers, actors, and crew from around the world to share their stories and connect with fellow creatives.
Our mission is to shine a light on exceptional filmmaking — from bold new voices to seasoned professionals — and to honour the passion, vision, and dedication that bring stories to life on screen.
The inaugural UK Film Awards took place at the Picturehouse Cinema in Epsom, where audiences and filmmakers came together for a memorable night of screenings, networking, and celebration. Building on that success, this year’s festival promises to be even more exciting, with an expanded range of categories recognising excellence across all areas of film production — including Acting, Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Visual Effects, and our newly introduced category celebrating AI Films, highlighting innovation and creativity through emerging technology.
Beyond the ceremony, we’re proud to provide a year-round platform for independent filmmakers. Selected films and trailers are showcased on our official website and Vimeo channel, helping talented creators gain visibility and reach new audiences.
At the heart of the UK Film Awards is a simple belief — that great stories deserve to be seen, and that every filmmaker, from any background, should have the chance to be celebrated for their art.
